Behaviour Mentor - Make a Difference in Sefton

Are you a compassionate and experienced individual with a passion for helping young people succeed? We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive school in Sefton to work with students aged 11-16. This is a full-time, long-term position starting in September, offering a rewarding opportunity to positively impact student's lives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
- Build positive and trusting relationships to guide and motivate students.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members to ensure student well-being and academic progress.
- Help students develop resilience, self-esteem, and crucial life skills.
- A minimum of 6 months of professional experience working with young people in a UK school setting.
- Proven ability to manage challenging behaviour and provide emotional support.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
