Location: BlackburnContract: Temporary (January start - until Summer 2026)Hours: Full-time, term-time only About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join our large, vibrant primary school in Blackburn. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children by supporting positive behaviour and helping them thrive in a nurturing learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with teachers and the pastoral team to support pupils with behavioural needs.Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils, helping them engage in learning.Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.Monitor and record progress, reporting to the SENCO and class teachers. What We're Looking For: Experience working with children in an educational setting (preferably primary).Understanding of behaviour management strategies and SEND support.Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
