Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning?Hays Education are working in partnership with a well-respected secondary school in Chorley to recruit a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their pastoral team. This is a long-term role, starting ASAP, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.Your new role:
- Supporting students across KS3 and KS4 with behavioural, emotional, and social needs.
- Working 1:1 and in small groups to deliver targeted interventions.
- Building positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and progress.
- Collaborating with teaching staff and pastoral leads to implement behaviour strategies.
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Experience working with young people in an educational or youth support setting.
- A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to behaviour management.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and external agencies.
- A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Hays).
