Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Waitress to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest services while preparing and serving food and beverages in a welcoming environment. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including speciality coffees and teas, with attention to quality and presentation.
  • Take accurate orders from guests, ensuring prompt and friendly service.
  • Serve food items in accordance with health and safety regulations, assisting with food preparation as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the service area, including counters, tables, and equipment, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Manage cash register operations, handle payments accurately, and provide correct change.
  • Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in setting up dining areas before service and clearing after closing hours.
  • Provide excellent guest services by addressing customer queries promptly and courteously.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.

Experience

  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous.
  • Experience in serving or barista roles will be considered a plus.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour to ensure positive guest interactions.
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
  • Familiarity with kitchen processes or culinary experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
