Role: Business Analyst - Axiom & Regulatory Reporting (Capital Markets)

Contract: 6-12 Months

Location: London (Hybrid - 2 days/week on-site)

Day Rate: £750 - £850 per day (via Umbrella Company)

Are you a seasoned Business Analyst with deep AxiomSL and Basel expertise? We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Business Analyst to join our client's Prudential Capital Reporting team for a critical 6-12 month contract. You will act as the primary liaison between key business stakeholders (Risk, Finance, Compliance) and IT development teams. This role is essential for the implementation and enhancement of their regulatory reporting infrastructure on Axiom.

Experience:

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within a large financial institution or major consultancy.
• Hands-on experience working directly with the AxiomSL ControllerView platform for regulatory reporting.
• In-depth knowledge of Basel Accords (Basel 3.1 is a must)
• Strong Capital Markets background with an understanding of key financial products (e.g., Derivatives, Fixed Income, Equities) and their impact on regulatory capital.
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation.

Responsibilities:

• Leading workshops to capture, analyse, and validate complex business and regulatory requirements related to Basel reporting (e.g., RWA, Leverage Ratio).
• Conducting detailed gap analysis between the current Axiom implementation/data sources and new regulatory mandates.
• Translating high-level requirements into clear, concise, and detailed functional specifications (FSDs).
• Working directly with the IT team on configuration, data modelling, and report development within AxiomSL ControllerView.
• Defining and documenting the end-to-end data lineage for regulatory reports.
• Designing and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and test cases.
