About
We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud / DevOps Engineer to review and optimize our current cloud infrastructure, specifically on the network side. We are using services like VPC, EC2, Load Balancers, ECS for Kubernetes, etc., and we need an expert to: Network Performance Review - Analyze VPC architecture, peering, NAT gateway, and routing setup. - Evaluate latency and throughput between services (EC2 ↔ ECS ↔ ELB ↔ external clients). - Identify bottlenecks (e.g., unnecessary cross-AZ/region hops, overuse of NAT gateways). - Recommend optimizations for lower latency and reduced data transfer costs. General Infrastructure Review - Identify all active services and dependencies (EC2, ECS/Kubernetes, ELBs, VPCs, CloudWatch, Kafka, Direct Connect, etc.). - Trace traffic flows and document how load balancers, DNS (Route 53), and networking are being used. - Highlight unused / orphaned resources. - Analyze monthly costs and identify waste (e.g., underutilized instances, redundant ELBs, over-provisioned resources). - Propose alternative architectures (e.g., consolidate services behind a single ingress, right-size EC2, use spot instances, etc.). - Review Kubernetes / ECS setup for efficiency and best practices. - Safely decommission unnecessary resources. - Help redesign ingress/egress strategy to minimize ELB/VPC costs without breaking services.
