• Responsibilities

As an Aviation Security Officer, your mission is to provide a visible and responsive security presence, ensuring safety and security across the site. Your daily tasks will include

• X-ray screening of cargo, baggage, and goods
• Conducting searches of people, vehicles, and aircraft
• Access control duties at secure site entry points
• Document and ID checks
• Supporting incident response and emergency services
• Escorting VIPs and high-value cargo
• Operating radios and control room systems
• Writing clear reports and logs of incidents
• You’ll need to stay alert, think quickly, and maintain professionalism under pressure – whether it’s identifying suspicious items or dealing with complex security protocols.

• Qualifications

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have

• Experience in a similar role (armed services, civil police, or aviation industry ideal)
• Clean full UK driving licence
• Ability to pass a 5-year background check and criminal record check
• Physically fit and colour vision test passed (required for X-ray screening)
• Strong communication and report writing skills
• Customer service focused, with a calm and professional attitude
• Willingness to undergo and maintain mandatory aviation training (CSO, NASP, NXCT, Firearms Recognition)
• First Aid certification (desirable)
• Manual handling training (desirable)
• Flexible approach to shifts and operational demands (desirable)
