Engage Education are currently working with a thriving special school in Bradford who are urgently seeking a candidate from a Support Work/Residential Care background to work in a Special Needs Teaching Assistant capacity to support their secondary aged pupils with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Physical Disabilities. We are recruiting for people who are available on a full-time Monday -Friday basis to work 08:30 – 15:30 term time only. This would be a fantastic role for someone looking to move away from the Health and Social Care sector to pursure a more routine friendly role, whilst also still being able to assist people with additional needs.About the role:To support the Class Teacher to prepare resources and deliver lessonsWork with all pupils in class to manage behaviours associated with their SEND NeedsProvide a fun and engaging learning environmentAdhere to all school policiesAssist with feeding and changing when requiredWe welcome applicants with a good understanding of working with people with Learning/Physical Disabilities that are enthusiastic about raising the attainment of pupils with SEND.You will ideally have experience in supporting children or adults with Autism or Learning Disabilities in a residential or supported living capacity. We also welcome applications from people that have worked in schools previously in a similar role.
