A well-established, independent chartered accountancy practice is recruiting for an Audit & Accounts Senior to join the friendly team providing a full range of accounting services to a range of entrepreneurial SME businesses and limited companies.The role will be approximately split 65% audit to 36% accounts and would suit an ambitious and versatile recently ACA/ACCA qualified individual.As Audit & Accounts Senior your responsibilities will include:Preparation of statutory and annual accounts from records supplied by a range of clientsInvolved in statutory audits from planning to completionPrepare draft business tax computations and CT600 returnsPrepare the year end accounting files and ensure they are complete, with back up schedules to support balance sheet figuresAd-hoc advisory servicesMaintain and build strong working relationships with clients and colleaguesManage client expectations, provide proactive advice, and deliver services within agreed timeframesDelegating tasks and overseeing the work of junior team members and reviewing their workMentoring trainees and supporting their professional developmentSupporting Partners and Managers with their client portfoliosEnsure compliance with professional standards and internal procedures, and help improve internal processes and promote efficient working practicesWe welcome applications for this Audit & Accounts Senior role from accountancy professionals with the following skills, experience and attributes:Be ACA/ACCA recently qualified (exceptional finalist or qualified by experience applicants may be considered)Significant accounts and audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practiceHave good general IT skills with proficiency in MS Office, Excel based cash books and Word, and cloud acc
