You'll work at the intersection of data strategy and healthcare delivery, helping NHS organisations unlock value from their data assets while navigating the complexities of the NHS environment. The role offers significant autonomy, client-facing leadership, and the opportunity to shape both client success and Intuita's growing presence within the NHS sector.
  • 📝 The Role
  • This is a senior leadership position combining strategic data consultancy with deep NHS domain expertise. You'll shape high-value data strategies and solutions for NHS clients, acting as both a trusted advisor and delivery lead. The role requires someone who can operate at CXO level, steering clients through complex data transformations while galvanising internal teams to deliver exceptional outcomes. Engagements typically start with discovery work and evolve into strategic partnerships, with opportunities to grow Intuita's healthcare capabilities and market presence.
  • Key areas & remits you’ll cover in this role are:Lead NHS Discovery Engagements
  • • Own end-to-end delivery of client Discoveries (typically 2-8 weeks) - a key go-to-market product assessing data maturity in NHS Trusts and translating findings into strategic delivery options
  • • Act as team lead in these short, sharp engagements, setting priorities and leading client interactions while leveraging technical expertise to produce compelling narratives
  • • Apply deep understanding of NHS data requirements (statutory and non-statutory) including RTT, Waitlists, CDS, Operational and Statutory Reporting
  • • Own final output quality and client presentation, converting discoveries into longer-term engagements
  • • Develop templates and methodologies to scale this capability across the business
  • Shape Data Strategy with NHS Context
  • • Translate NHS business challenges into data opportunities, with sharp focus on clinical, operational, workforce, and financial outcomes
  • • Develop credible, deliverable solution roadmaps that address both defensive goals (reduce cost, risk) and offensive opportunities (improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency)
  • • Help NHS clients think holistically about their data journey, from immediate pain points (e.g., EPR implementation, BI transformation) to longer-term strategic capability
  • • Leverage understanding of value derivable from EPRs and various NHS data domains
  • • Build formal and informal relationships with NHS stakeholders, understanding their unique challenges and regulatory environment
  • Client Leadership & Interim Advisory
  • • Take on Client Lead role for small to medium NHS clients, acting as the bridge between client and delivery team
  • • Capable of stepping into interim leadership roles (Director or Head of) within NHS Trusts
  • • Advise client CXOs, speaking their language and applying relevant industry domain knowledge
  • • Evolve relationships from pre-sales and discovery through to delivery and ongoing partnership
  • Commercial Development & Growth
  • • Support growth activities through pre-sales and account expansion within NHS sector
  • • Generate opportunities with new NHS clients, leveraging existing network
  • • Represent lntuita at relevant events (e.g., Women in Data, NHS conferences)
  • • Identify new opportunities within existing accounts
  • • Enable healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities (role partially non-chargeable to support pre-sales)
  • Value Communication & Client Success
  • • Own how we communicate value to NHS clients during and post-delivery
  • • Demonstrate tangible outcomes and enhance value perception
  • • Articulate impact in terms relevant to NHS priorities and performance frameworks
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • • Play a lead role in the Data Enablement team, driving collective success
  • • Line management responsibility for team members
  • • Develop holistic approach to learning and development, building team capability in NHS domain
  • • Provide mentoring and career guidance across our teams

There are some “essentials” we’ll be seeking during the selection process

  • • c.15+ years in related data/Bl roles within NHS or healthcare
  • • Former senior position in large, complex NHS Trust, such as: Director of BI / Analytics / Information / Data; Head of BI / Analytics / Information / Data
  • • Proven track record delivering complex NHS data projects, particularly: BI workstreams in EPR implementations; BI transformations in NHS settings; Integration of Operational, Clinical, Workforce, and Finance data
  • Technical & Domain Expertise
  • • Deep understanding of NHS data requirements, challenges, and regulatory landscape
  • • Hands-on experience with RTT, Waitlists, CDS, Operational and Statutory Reporting
  • • Strong grasp of value extraction from EPRs and various NHS data sources
  • • Ability to assess data maturity and design pragmatic transformation roadmaps
  • Strategic & Commercial Skills
  • • Demonstrated ability to operate at strategic level, advising CXOs
  • • Experience generating new business and building networks within consultancy environment
  • • Capability to translate technical solutions into business value
  • • Track record of converting discovery work into sustained client partnerships
  • Leadership & Interpersonal
  • • Proven team leadership and mentoring capability
  • • Strong network within NHS BI/analytics community (highly beneficial)
  • • Excellent client relationship building skills
  • • Able to speak the language of both technical teams and executive stakeholders
