Assistant Financial Controller - Manufacturing | Leicester | £65,000 - £75,000 + Bonus + Benefits A highly profitable, well-backed global manufacturing business is seeking an experienced and ambitious Assistant Financial Controller to lead its UK finance function. This is a key appointment for a growing subsidiary of a major US-headquartered group, with ambitious growth plans over the next couple of years. Key Responsibilities: Lead the UK finance team, providing mentoring and driving high performance. Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts and UK GAAP statutory reporting. Oversee annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow management. Drive standard costing analysis, reporting and variance commentary. Ensure robust SOX testing and internal control compliance in line with US parent company standards. Collaborate closely with operational teams to support decision-making and improve cost control. Support UK GAAP adjustments, particularly around pensions, with group guidance and support. Key Requirements: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong post-qualified experience. Proven background in manufacturing finance, including standard costing. Experience in SOX testing and compliance within a US-owned environment. Track record of success in a large company setting, ideally a multinational group. Strong leadership skills - able to manage and develop a finance team.
