Our client, an established and growing business based in North Yorkshire, is seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to take on a varied and responsible role within a diverse and supportive group.This is a full-time role offering a four day work week, with every Friday off.Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts including journals, prepayments, accruals and fixed asset schedulesVariance analysis and management reporting to support senior decision-makingProcessing and administration of monthly payrollStock valuation and reconciliation proceduresCredit control activities including customer credit checks and account monitoringSupervision of finance staff and resolution of day-to-day queriesInvolvement in VAT compliance, statutory reporting and year-end processes (dependent on experience) Candidate Requirements AAT qualified or part qualified ACCA / CIMA (Support can be offered for qualifications)Previous experience in a management accounting or similar finance positionExperience working within an SME environment would be advantageousStrong working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft OfficeWell-organised with excellent attention to detailAble to work on own initiative and as part of a teamFull UK driving licence required as occasional travel between sites will be necessary Salary to £35,000 plus profit share bonus, 25 days annual leave.IPS Finance has 45 years’ experience in the Yorkshire accountancy recruitment market.
