Assistant AccountantLocation: Leeds LS16 (Hybrid)Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (DOE) As part of our continued growth, our client is expanding the back-office operations and are now looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. The RoleThis is a brand-new, full-time role working closely with the Finance Manager and the wider finance team. You’ll play a key part in supporting the delivery of team objectives and helping improve processes as the organisation scales. Key Responsibilities Prepare draft monthly management accounts for review. Lead and support the transactional finance team during month end (reconciliations, accruals, prepayments). Assist with process improvements and ensure compliance with internal policies. Support intercompany invoicing and reconciliations. Complete month-end FX ledger reconciliations. Assist with VAT processes and submissions (UK & Ireland). Prepare weekly payment runs across multiple purchase ledgers. Manage debtors alongside the finance team. Support cashflow forecasting and margin analysis. Prepare sales commission statements. Carry out general finance duties, analysis, and audit support. Supervise and assist the transactional team. Provide ad hoc support to senior finance management. About You AAT Qualified (preferred, not essential) Experience supervising a finance team (preferred) Strong analytical, numerical and organisational skills.
