Assistant Accountant- Craigavon Reed Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly prestigious, market leading company, based in Craigavon. Our client has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant/ Accounting Technician to join their team on a full-time basis. This position will be for a fixed-term contract period of 12 months, with possible extension. Working closely with the Management Accountant, the successful applicant will be responsible for completing the following daily duties: Responsibilities & Duties Include: Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts within set deadlines, including analysis of variancesAssist with completion of UK and ROI VAT/PAYE/RCT returnsProcessing of weekly payrolls for 3 companies Assist finance department with subcontractors, sales, contract sales, purchases ledgers to ensure deadlines are achievedAssist with creditor payments within agreed credit terms, including BACS and manual paymentsAssist month end procedures and the processing of finance reportsAdministration of stock levels on accounts package Qualifications and Skills: Part Qualified or Accounting Technician Level candidate would be ideal, but not essentialA minimum of 2 years recent experience gained within a similar roleProficient in accounting softwareGood organisational and time management skillsStrong communication skills and ability to work as a teamStock management and payroll experience preferred but not essential Company Benefits Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm ( flexibility options)12-month fixed term contract with possible extensionOnsite parking31 days annual leaveBu
