SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD Specialism) - KS1 Rochester Full time contract Start ASAP Due to location must have own transport We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant with an ASD specialism to support a KS1 pupil at a welcoming school located near Hoo, Rochester, Kent. This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and helping them thrive both academically and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil with ASDSupport learning, communication, and emotional regulationImplement strategies in line with EHCP targetsWork closely with the class teacher and SENCOCreate a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment Essential Requirements: Experience supporting children with ASD (school-based preferred)Understanding of KS1 curriculum and SEN strategiesPatient, reliable, and adaptable approachMust have own transport due to the school's location and limited public transport access Desirable: SEN or TA qualificationExperience with visual supports, routines, or behaviour strategies This role would suit someone committed to making a real difference in a child's early education.
