We're seeking an experienced and proactive ASB Legal Officer on a short-term temporary contract, covering patches in Cheshire and Crewe on a hybrid basis, with mileage paid from home. If you have a proven background in ASB casework management, tenancy enforcement, safeguarding and legal processes within social housing, then please apply below Key responsibilities: Investigate, manage and resolve cases of nuisance, tenancy breaches, anti social behaviour and safeguardingUse a range of legal remedies to provide effective resolutions, such as mediation referrals, warnings and ABCs Initiate legal proceedings, prepare court paperwork and applications including injunctions and possession proceedings Represent the group in court if required, and prepare and support witnesses and victims through the legal process Visit victims, perpetrators and witnesses to collect evidence including witness statements Respond to complaints and queries from local Councillors What you'll need to succeed A strong background in ASB casework, tenancy enforcement and safeguarding A good knowledge of legal processes, legislation and best practice in relation to ASB resolution, community safety and social housing Experience of preparing legal casework, taking witness statements and self-representing in court Driving licence with access to own vehicle and business insurance, with flexibility to travel in line with business requirements on a hybrid basis What you'll get in return Weekly pay Competitive hourly rates Mileage reimbursement from home Immediate starts What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right
