About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring Art Teacher to join an innovative team, teaching students across a range of ages (e.g., from primary through secondary levels). Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in various artistic disciplines, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital art.
- Develop a curriculum that is exciting, challenging, and meets educational standards while fostering individual expression.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on student work, tracking progress and adapting teaching methods as needed.
- Organise and curate student exhibitions and displays within the school and potentially the wider community.
- Manage and maintain the Art Studio, ensuring a safe, organised, and stimulating learning environment.
- Collaborate with other faculty members on cross-curricular projects and school-wide initiatives.
- Participate in extracurricular activities related to art (e.g., after-school clubs or field trips).
What We're Looking For
- A relevant degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
- Proven teaching experience in a school setting.
- A diverse portfolio showcasing proficiency in multiple artistic media.
- The ability to inspire and connect with students from diverse backgrounds and developmental stages.
- A commitment to professional development and staying current with contemporary art practices and educational technology.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A positive, energetic attitude and a genuine passion for teaching art.
