The Vision: About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Art Teacher to lead the visual arts provision for our students (covering ages, for instance, 11-18). This is a fantastic chance to join a successful department, designing and delivering an ambitious curriculum that spans both traditional techniques and contemporary media. The successful candidate will play a central role in elevating the profile of art throughout the school community.

Core Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons across various artistic disciplines (e.g., painting, ceramics, photography, graphic design).
- Develop and continuously refine the Art curriculum to ensure relevance, rigor, and cultural responsiveness.
- Conduct regular assessments of student progress, providing timely, constructive feedback to drive improvement.
- Organise and display student artwork prominently within the school and coordinate participation in external exhibitions and competitions.
- Effectively manage and maintain art supplies, equipment, and the studio space, prioritising safety.
- Actively contribute to the school's extracurricular program by running art clubs or workshops.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, contributing to whole-school initiatives and fostering a positive school culture.
What We Are Seeking in You
- A recognised teaching qualification and a degree in a relevant artistic field.
- Demonstrable successful experience teaching Art at the school level (e.g., Middle or High School).
- A comprehensive subject knowledge spanning historical and contemporary art movements and techniques.
- The ability to effectively differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, from beginners to advanced portfolio students.
- A strong commitment to upholding high standards of achievement and behavior.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire a disciplined yet creative atmosphere.
- Proficiency in utilising technology to enhance both art creation and art instruction.
