Do you have the vision and leadership skills to manage an outstanding Alternative Learning Provision (AP)?
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and highly motivated Alternative Learning Provision Manager to lead and develop our bespoke provision for students who require an alternative educational environment in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing a clear vision and strategy for the AP, ensuring it aligns with the school's/organisation's objectives and statutory guidance
- Overseeing the planning, delivery, and quality of a personalised, engaging, and purposeful curriculum that meets the diverse needs of all students and promotes their progress and positive outcomes
- Leading on the assessment, transition, and re-integration of students, managing complex cases, and developing Individual Learning/Pastoral Plans
- Line managing, coaching, and developing the AP staff team, fostering a culture of high expectations, care, and restorative practice
- Building and maintaining excellent relationships with parents/carers, external agencies (e.g., Social Services, CAMHS, AP providers), and mainstream school staff
- Ensuring all safeguarding and child protection procedures are rigorously followed within the provision
- Monitoring student attendance, behaviour, progress, and attainment, using data to inform continuous improvement
Job requirements:
- A Degree + PGCE (or equivalent teaching qualification)
- SENCO Qualification (or willing to work towards a SENCO Qualification)
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in tandem with teaching staff
- Ability to be empathetic and understanding to the needs of students
