Job: Teaching Assistant
Salary range: £90- £96.12 per day
Location: Pontypridd and surrounding areas
Sector: Special Educational Needs Schools
Are you a passionate, dynamic, and motivated individual looking to make a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking an SEN/ALN Teaching Assistant to join our pool of talented candidates and work alongside our dedicated Special Education Schools.
Please note, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
What is required:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain a new one.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience working 1 to 1 with children or adults with special educational needs (preferably in a school setting but not required).
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with additional learning needs.
Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from the class teacher and SENDCO.
Understanding of child safeguarding and child protection procedures.
A flexible and adaptable approach to meet the individual needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:
Build warm, caring, and supportive relationships with pupils, fostering a safe and engaging learning environment.
Promote independence and personal development while maintaining high expectations for behaviour.
Support the delivery of a high-quality, differentiated curriculum that enables pupils to reach their full potential.
Adapt to the changing needs of the school, ensuring the smooth running of daily activities.
Encourage cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, and physical development, as well as pupils’ overall well-being.
Work collaboratively within a multi-professional team to provide the best outcomes for pupils.
Maintain accurate records related to health, behaviour, and incidents under the guidance of a senior TA or teacher.
