- Job Description
- As a AI Software Engineer, you will join our team in Bristol to support our activities within the Aerospace sector.
- Working within the Engineering Methods & Tools Department, you will take a leading role in the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions that support engineering activities. Based on-site in Bristol, you will collaborate closely with senior engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to improve productivity, efficiency, and innovation across the Aerospace sector.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to ensure consistency, reliability, and continuity across AI projects
- Design, prototype, and implement machine learning models and AI solutions for engineering applications
- Design and build scalable AI and ML systems suitable for deployment in an engineering environment
- Manage data pipelines, ensuring data quality and availability
- Collaborate with data scientists, product owners, and stakeholders to manage the end-to-end model development lifecycle
- Promote AI best practices and continuous improvement across the department
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with deployed AI systems
- Produce clear and structured technical documentation throughout the development process
- Qualifications
Required Skills
- Strong experience in AI / machine learning system development
- Ability to design and implement scalable ML architectures
- Experience managing data pipelines and data quality
- Strong collaboration skills within multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Ability to provide technical direction and leadership on AI projects
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
- Proven experience delivering AI or machine learning solutions in an industrial or engineering environment
- Strong understanding of software development best practices
Desirable Skills
- Experience working within aerospace or regulated engineering environments
- Familiarity with engineering methods, tools, or digital transformation initiatives
- Experience with MLOps, model deployment, and lifecycle management
- Knowledge of Python and common ML frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
