- Job Description: Job Title Agile Practitioner Location London Corporate Title Assistant Vice President Our Technology, Data and Innovation (TDI) strategy is focused on strengthening engineering expertise, introducing an agile delivery model, as well as modernising the bank's IT infrastructure with long-term investments and taking advantage of cloud computing. You will be working in the Transaction Monitoring and Data Controls team designing, implementing, and operationalising Java components. We have implemented a model that enables eligible employees to work remotely for a part of their working time and reach a working pattern that works for them Competitive salary and non-contributory pension 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase additional days Life Assurance and Private Healthcare for you and your family A range of flexible benefits including Retail Discounts, a Bike4Work scheme and Gym benefits The opportunity to support a wide-ranging CSR programme + 2 days’ volunteering leave per year Your key responsibilities Champion and coach the agile mindset, values, and principles, serving as a guiding force for teams and the broader organization to deepen their understanding of agile theory and practice Facilitate team-level agile events such as Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, and Retrospectives, while also supporting tribe-level ceremonies to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of value delivery Proactively identify and systematically remove impediments, effectively shielding the team from external distractions to maintain a sharp focus on their critical delivery goals Coach Product Owners in the art of effective backlog management, advanced prioritization techniques, and clear stakeholder communication to ultimately maximize business value Metric and data driven, foster a robust culture of continuous improvement (Kaizen) by empowering teams to utilize empirical data and key flow metrics (e.g., cycle time, lead time) for thorough process inspection and adaptive adjustments Cultivate an environment of psychological safety where open communication, healthy conflict resolution, and learning from failure are not just accepted, but actively encouraged, while guiding teams to take full ownership of their delivery process, including the proactive management of dependencies, risks, and data-driven forecasting Your skills and experience Significant IT experience with experience as a dedicated Scrum Master in a software-driven environment, ideally within banking or a similarly regulated industry Proven experience as an Agile practitioner, demonstrating a deep, practical understanding of the Agile Manifesto and principles beyond just ceremony facilitation Expertise in coaching, teaching, and mentoring teams and individuals to improve their agile maturity and effectiveness Strong experience with agile frameworks beyond Scrum, such as Kanban and XP, and an understanding of when to apply different practices Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with experience working with globally distributed teams requiring remote interaction Proficiency with modern collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence, including the ability to help teams configure boards and generate meaningful metrics How we’ll support you Training and development to help you excel in your career Coaching and support from experts in your team A culture of continuous learning to aid progression A range of flexible benefits that you can tailor to suit your needs About us Deutsche Bank is the leading German bank with strong European roots and a global network.
