We are seeking an Admissions Officer to join our team and play a vital role in growing our student community and ensuring an exceptional admissions journey.
This full-time position reports to the Deputy Heads of Admissions and is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives on building strong relationships and confidently guiding prospective students and their families from initial inquiry through to enrolment.Key Focus: Student Recruitment & Relationship Management
The primary focus of this role is student recruitment, which involves engaging with prospective students, their families, and educational agents. You will be the first point of contact, managing the end-to-end admissions journey from handling inquiries, arranging visits and assessments, conducting interviews, and preparing offers.
A crucial element of the job is relationship management. You'll build and maintain strong connections with educational agents, feeder schools, and families. The work doesn't stop at enrolment; you will also maintain strong relationships with the students and their families once they join the college. Key Responsibilities Include:Acting as the first point of contact for prospective families and agents, providing personalised guidance
Managing all aspects of the admissions journey, including handling inquiries, interviews, and preparing offers
Maintaining accurate records of inquiries and applications using internal systems
Collaborating on marketing initiatives and helping to organise and deliver open days, school tours, and induction events.
Providing tours of the college to prospective families and agents.
Handling administrative duties such as creating and sending offer letters, requesting references from previous schools, and liaising with teams across the college.
What We're Looking For (Required)
We are looking for a candidate who is organised, proactive, and committed to student success.
Previous experience in school admissions, student recruitment, customer service, sales, marketing, or a client-facing role is essential.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly and forge lasting relationships.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a positive and resilient approach to challenges.
Must be willing to go the extra mile, show initiative, be open to feedback, and desire to improve performance.
Must be willing to travel as part of the role.
Highly Desirable:
Familiarity with the UK independent school sector.
Fluency in additional languages.
