Role Purpose
This is an important new role within Roundabout’s busy Central Services department, integral to our mission of providing high quality support and accommodation for young people.
You will be responsible for the completion of Housing Benefit admin alongside general day to day administrative tasks in the Central Services team. You will also be supporting our Senior Management Team and services across the whole organisation as required.
You will work closely with the Central Services team and will work flexibly across a range of areas, including but not limited to; housing benefit, property administration, office administration, data recording and input and some general admin support to the CEO and Deputy CEO of Roundabout.
This role will be based at Roundabout’s office in Sheffield city centre, and may require occasional travel to other Roundabout services across Sheffield and Rotherham.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist with the processing and management of Housing Benefit claims. Create new claims, process incoming HB payments and liaise with the Sheffield City Council HB team regarding any issues with ongoing claims.
- Liaise with the HR and Personnel teams to assist with the set-up and onboarding of all new starters across the organisation.
- Assist with any data projects being undertaken as and when required.
- Monitor and order stationery and office supply requirements for the organisation as and when required.
- Maintain and organise the organisation’s filing systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and deal with queries for the team.
- Collation of all monthly manager’s reports from the different Roundabout services and the dissemination of these reports to the Board of Trustees in preparation for their monthly meetings.
- Provide day to day administrative support for all the different services across Roundabout as and when required.
- Manage room bookings on behalf of the organisation. Prepare rooms as required for interviews and meetings.

Person Specification
Specific Knowledge, Experience and Skills
- Previous experience of working in a busy office-based administrative role would be desirable.
- A good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel. Proficiency with other applications such as Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Experience of accurately recording data and maintaining databases. Experience of working with a CRM system is desirable, but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work to multiple deadlines at the same time.
- Ability to build positive workplace relationships with colleagues across the organisation and with external agencies.
