St John’s Catholic Primary School is a large, vibrant school with a strong sense of community and a commitment to providing a nurturing, inclusive environment for all. We are seeking a friendly, professional and efficient Admin Officer (Front of House) to join our busy school office team.
  • As Admin Officer you will be the first point of contact for parents, visitors and all stakeholders, acting as one of our Lead First Aiders and managing the administration of our popular Breakfast and Extended Day clubs. You will also oversee the Health and Safety in the school alongside the School Business Manager and will liaise with the Governing Body with regards to admissions to the school. Other necessary qualities include confidentiality, efficiency and being able to work on your own initiative and under pressure.
  • The successful candidate must want to work in an environment with children at the centre and enjoy their company, be flexible and proactive, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and work accurately with attention to detail. Excellent administration, planning and communication skills are essential, together with a clear knowledge of all aspects of safeguarding. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential and experience in Sims is desirable however, training can be provided. Your role will also involve the management and ongoing development of our school website.
