Accounts Payable Manager - Slough - £50.000 - £60.000 Role Summary The Accounts Payable Manager oversees the full accounts payable function, ensuring accurate, timely processing of invoices and payments while maintaining strong internal controls and vendor relationships. This role leads the AP team, supports financial reporting, and drives process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, approvals, payment runs, and reconciliationsEnsure timely and accurate payments to vendors in accordance with company policySupervise and develop AP team membersMaintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulationsReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepanciesOversee month-end closing activities related to AP, including accruals and reportingPartner with Procurement, Finance, and external auditors as neededLead process improvement initiatives and system enhancementsMonitor cash flow requirements and optimize payment timing Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of accounts payable experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory roleStrong knowledge of accounting principles and AP best practicesExperience with ERP/accounting systemsAdvanced Excel skillsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and leadership skills Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
