Your new roleYou will be joining a well-established and reputable law firm. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a key function within a stable, supportive environment. This is an office-based role in Central London. What you'll need to succeedAs the Accounts Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the firm's finance function within a small to medium-sized legal practice. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and play a crucial part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting audits, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Producing monthly management accounts and financial reports for senior leadershipSupporting budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial performance monitoringEnsuring full compliance with SRA Accounts Rules, including oversight of client and office accountsManaging all legal cashiering duties, reconciliations, and payment processingPreparing audit documentation and liaising with external auditorsSupporting financial compliance, risk monitoring, and AML-related processesOverseeing the firm's accounting system and providing user supportSupervising accounts staff and ensuring effective workflow managementChecking payroll outputs and arranging salary and PAYE payments What you'll get in returnYou will have solid experience working in an accounts role within a UK law firm, along with a strong working knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules. A background in legal cashiering, bookkeeping, and management accounts preparation is essential.
