Due to an increase in instructions, our Finance department is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to work within our transactional finance team on a permanent basis, primarily working from home or from our office in MediaCityUK.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to enhance their career in Finance, we welcome applications from anyone who has previous transactional finance experience and if that includes knowledge of Aderant, even better!
This role is fast paced so you’ll never be bored at work. You will aid the wider Accounts team via the accurate processing of financial transactions and reviewing invoices onto the firm’s accounting software as well as providing billing assistance to our Fee Earners. You will review and process client account payments in line with SRA Solicitor Account rules and regulations as well as monitoring bank and credit card transactions.

What you’ll be doing
- Processing of financial transactions using our accounts package Aderant for both Client and Office ledgers
- Processing and reviewing invoices
- Produce bills as requested or provide assistance to billing produced by fee earners
- Involvement in receipt and processing of daily banking routines
- Review and processing of client account payments inline with SRA Solicitor Account rules regulations
- Providing timely information to other members of the Accounts team and the wider firm
- Resolve tickets via our internal service desk in a timely and effective manner
- Dealing with queries from outside the department and maintaining a good working relationship with contacts inside and outside of the firm
- Monitoring of bank transactions using the online banking facility
- Resolving bank reconciliation queries
- Assistance in processing credit card transactions
- Supplier statement reconciliation
- Assisting our credit control team as required
Previous high volume transactional Accounts experience preferable, any Legal sector experience desirable
Experience using Aderant also desirable
Excellent attention to detail and exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills
Competent use of Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word
Ability to work under pressure and produce accurate output
Team player with ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
