A long-established, family-owned manufacturing business is looking to appoint an Accounts Administrator to join its friendly team. Located in a lovely rural setting between Romsey and Southampton, the company offers a welcoming working environment and flexibility around working hours (approx. 30 hours per week, to be agreed with the successful candidate). The Role As the Accounts Administrator, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records across accounts payable and receivable, supporting wider purchasing and finance activities, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Key responsibilities include: Matching and reconciling supplier invoices with purchase orders and goods receivedEntering invoices into the company’s accounting systemManaging and resolving supplier invoice queriesPreparing payment runs (GBP and foreign currency) and communicating payment schedules to suppliersPosting cash for both payables and receivables, in collaboration with Group FinanceSupporting purchasing processes and assisting the Buyer when requiredMonitoring debtor balances and undertaking appropriate credit controlCollating and checking employee expense claimsAssisting with incoming calls and providing admin support to purchasing and sales teams when needed What We’re Looking For Strong numeracy and high attention to detailProven experience in an accounts-based role using a computerised accounting systemConfident, assertive communication skills for dealing with suppliers and customersA collaborative team player able to liaise effectively across departmentsCompetent wit
