About
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Associate to support our financial operations related to in-game purchases and player redemptions. The ideal candidate will help ensure accurate tracking, recording, and reconciliation of high-volume transactions, while maintaining compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and reconcile revenue from in-game purchases across multiple platforms and payment providers.
- Process and reconcile player redemptions.
- Monitor payment gateway reports and third-party platform.
- Collaborate with Product and Customer Support teams to investigate and resolve transaction discrepancies or disputes.
- Assist with chargeback tracking and reporting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and documentation.
- Support month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, and revenue recognition processes.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and assist in audits or compliance reviews as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of accounting or finance experience; gaming or digital services industry experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and accounting.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, NetSuite, QuickBooks) and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with payment processors ) and app store financial reporting.
- Analytical, organized, and capable of managing high transaction volumes with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience in mobile or online gaming industries.
- Knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance.
- Experience with data tools like Looker, Tableau, or SQL.
