Help pupils unlock their true potential. Key Responsibilities: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, your role will be instrumental in the inclusion and positive development of pupils. Your responsibilities will include: Delivering academic and therapeutic interventions in literacy, numeracy, and social skills to pupils with SEND. Providing a secure and consistent adult presence, acting as a mentor to help pupils develop better coping and self-regulation skills. Working closely with the class teacher to adapt activities and manage transitions, ensuring the pupil remains engaged and on task. Confidently implementing positive behaviour management techniques and being skilled in basic de-escalation strategies. Liaising effectively with parents, the SENCO, and outside agencies to ensure a consistent support network for the child. Requirements: To succeed in this role, you must possess: Demonstrable experience supporting children with SEND, particularly SEMH or challenging behaviour, in an educational setting.
