Job Role
We are pleased to be recruiting for another key role within our fast-paced warehouse environment. Working closely with our Stock Control & Systems Manager, the ideal candidate will have previous experience in a stock control function, exposure to purchasing systems would be an advantage. You will be proactive and disciplined with great organisational skill as well as excellent time management. You will be expected to be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, disseminate information concisely and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders including Auditors.
What You’ll Be Doing
· Daily Over Picks – Investigation and Correction
o Identify instances where pickers have taken more stock than required.
o Investigate reasons for over picking, such as system errors or not checking.
o Adjust stock levels accordingly and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
· Failed Action Investigation and Handling
o Review cases where stock movements or order actions have failed.
o Determine the cause of failure—such as system issues, warehouse errors, or stock shortages.
o Resolve the issue by coordinating with relevant teams and updating stock records.
· Stop Ship Put Away for Cancelled Orders
o Identify and segregate stock from cancelled orders to prevent shipment.
o Ensure stock is returned to appropriate storage locations efficiently.
o Update records to reflect accurate stock levels.
· Check Empty Pallet Bays (Weekly)
o Conduct weekly audits of empty pallet bays to confirm available space.
o Report and rectify any discrepancies between recorded and actual storage space.
o Ensure warehouse organisation and optimize space utilisation.
· Check 1 & 2’s in Pick (Weekly)
· Order picking and checking
· Package and label products for despatch
· Re-working products to client requirements
· Help to maintain clean and tidy work areas
· Operate all equipment in a safe manner
· Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to Health & Safety and Quality Management.
· Any other tasks deemed by the Company to be necessary for the successful completion of the role.

· Microsoft understanding i.e. Excel & Word
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
· Experience of general warehouse operations
· Forklift experience & knowledge
· Be physically fit as lifting is required
· The ability to work effectively as part of a team
· Clean driving licence
