Join Our Team as a Radio Lead for Project Radio!

Do you have a passion for music, broadcasting, and engaging with the community? Are you knowledgeable about local events and excited to help create interactive and dynamic content? If you’re a great communicator who can captivate audiences and inspire others, we’d love to hear from you!

We are looking for a patient, kind, and empathetic individual to support our service users in delivering an exciting and diverse radio station. While previous experience in broadcasting, podcasting, or production is beneficial, the most important qualities are enthusiasm, creativity, and a willingness to learn.

The Focus of Your Role

As a Radio Lead, you will work within our community skills project, collaborating with fellow team members and customers to create, edit, and broadcast engaging radio content. This role is based in our studio in Holbeach, Lincolnshire, with opportunities for live broadcasting at local events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support service users in presenting and hosting radio shows.
  • Curate and gather content for the radio station.
  • Create and manage social media content.
  • Plan and develop themes and ideas for programming.
  • Deliver engaging, high-quality content.
  • Expand the station’s audience across various platforms.
  • Provide creative input to enhance the station and its programming.
  • Generate fresh ideas and forward plan for upcoming shows.
  • Work closely with the social media team to ensure cohesive content across all platforms.

The Ideal Candidate

✔ Passionate about broadcasting, teaching, journalism, culture, and local events.
✔ Confident communicator who can produce engaging, high-standard content.
✔ Familiar with social media platforms and major news sources.
✔ Ability to research and produce well-structured shows.
✔ Organized and able to work calmly and accurately under pressure.
✔ Willing to learn basic editing skills, broadcasting regulations, and collaborate with external partners.
✔ Available for occasional weekend/evening events, particularly during the summer festival season.
✔ Holds a valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle (business insurance required).
✔ Good understanding of IT, including Microsoft 365 packages (Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook).
