About

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the chef in the running of the home’s kitchen to enable our clients to eat and drink nutritious foods and drinks in accordance with their dietary needs and preferences.

The successful candidate will also deputise for chef on two days a week and during times of annual leave; producing simple but nutritious and appetising menus' for the enjoyment of our residents.

All of our staff work together as part of a team to provide quality care. Essentially, we put the comfort, happiness and safety of our clients first - and do what we can to support them.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

They will

- prepare simple menus for delivery to clients in the absence of chef

- prepare and serve refreshments

- maintain an hygienic work area for food preparation

- ensure food safety standards are maintained at all times

- Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver high-quality meals

- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen

Full mentorship and training will be provided for the successful candidate where needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.40-£12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
