Job Description

The Patient Support Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. This role involves managing appointments, handling patient inquiries, and providing administrative support to healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Appointment Management: Schedule and confirm patient appointments and coordinate with healthcare professionals to manage daily schedules effectively.
  • Patient Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for patients. Answer phone calls, respond to emails, answer live chat, and assist patients with their enquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Billing and Payment Processing: Assist patients with subscription enquiries and prescription payments.
  • Support Clinical Staff: Provide administrative support to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff. Ensure smooth operation between our clinic and the pharmacy.
  • Patient Experience: Enhance patient experience through excellent service and effective communication. Address patient concerns and ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.
  • Receive, log, and acknowledge patient dissatisfaction via various channels (phone, email, online).
  • Investigate dissatisfaction thoroughly by gathering relevant information and liaising with internal departments.
  • Provide clear and concise responses to patients, addressing their concerns and explaining the resolution process.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a healthcare setting, in a patient-facing role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Empathy and patient-centric approach.
  • Proficiency with IT and comfortable using various computer software and systems.

Schedule

  • Rota basis
  • 37.5 Hours per week, over 5 days
  • Between 08:00 - 20:00, Monday to Sunday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to £25,000.00 per year
