We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Payment Processor to join our dynamic remote team. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments, maintaining financial records, and supporting smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process digital and financial transactions with accuracy using tools like QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft
• Maintain and reconcile up-to-date financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies
• Perform accounts payable tasks, verify invoices, and resolve discrepancies
• Conduct precise data entry and support database accuracy
• Use excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to handle payment inquiries professionally
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline and improve payment workflows
• Analyse payment data to identify issues, trends, and areas for optimisation
• Communicate with clients confidently, sometimes using telemarketing-style skills to follow up on accounts

What You Bring

• Previous experience in finance, accounting, or payment processing
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft (or similar accounting software)
• Strong data entry and analytical skills
• Knowledge of accounts payable and general finance operations
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work independently and remotely in a fast-paced environment
