Junior Event Production & Admin Assistant
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Location: Brighton Office
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
We’re looking for a Junior Event Production & Admin Assistant to join the Lucy & Yak team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the start of their career in events, keen to learn the ropes through hands-on experience across a busy and exciting calendar.
You’ll be supporting our hardworking events team on a range of projects, including:
- New store openings, In-store events and birthday celebrations
- Product launches, brand activations & press events
- Pop-up shops and sample sales
- Festival activations
- Exhibitions and trade shows
We’re after someone positive, calm under pressure and highly organised with a brilliant attitude, a sharp eye for detail, and a genuine willingness to get stuck in. Please note This is primarily a production and admin-based role, not a creative or ideation-led position.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Motivated by making things happen smoothly behind the scenes
- Able to take direction and run with it
- Confident working independently when needed
- Excited to support creative concepts
If you’re a keen bean who loves lists, logistics, and lending a hand wherever it’s needed, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Get
- Hands-on experience across a wide range of event formats
- Time off in lieu for any out-of-hours work
- The chance to work on unique and exciting projects in a supportive team
- 4-day working week (Mon–Thurs)
See our careers homepage for a full list of our perks and benefits: https://careers.lucyandyak.com/
Working Hours
Our core working hours are Monday to Thursday, 9am–5pm, with some flexibility required around events. There will be occasional evening and weekend work, particularly during event load-ins/outs and live days — but any extra hours worked will be given back as time off in lieu.
This is a mainly office-based role, but there are plenty of opportunities to get hands-on at live events across the UK. That means there may be periods of frequent travel and overnight stays, especially during our busy summer season.
What You'll Be Doing
Admin Support
- Book couriers, staff transport, and other logistics for upcoming events.
- Chase VAT receipts and ensure all spreadsheets and paperwork is complete and accurate.
- Schedule internal meetings, take notes, and circulate minutes.
- Ensure Health & Safety documentation is up to date and licenses are secured for each event.
Pre-Production Support
- Help with pre-packing for events, preparing production kits, and ordering supplies.
- Assist with vehicle loading/unloading before and after events.
- Keep storage areas organised, keeping track of equipment and handle charity shop donations when needed.
On-Site Support
- Setting up and packing down event spaces
- Ordering crew lunches, handling couriers, and general coordination
- Dismantling kit and helping keep everything running smoothly
- On-site admin assistant, booking last minute transport etc.
About You
- Brighton-based or willing to relocate quickly
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Calm, friendly, and great under pressure
- Comfortable with physical tasks including lifting and moving equipment, standing for periods of time, and supporting event set-ups.
- Proactive, with a genuine interest in events and production
- A team player with strong communication skills
- Ready to hit the ground running with our busiest summer season yet!
- A full driving licence is a bonus, but not essential
