We require a qualified teaching assistant or early years practitioner to support a high achieving rural school on the outskirts of Penrith.
The position will start immediately and be required until the end of the academic year.
We are looking to recruit confident Teaching Assistants who hold at least a Level 3 Qualification in Early Years, Teaching Assistant or equivalent. The role is a full-time position, but the school can be flexible for the right candidate.
The role is to work within the Early Years and KS1 so experience working with this age range would be an advantage.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a committed, adaptable and caring professional, passionate about delivering high quality support and providing an inspirational approach to learning
- Support the class teacher with all aspects of a typical day in a busy classroom.
- Can demonstrate creativity, resilience and interpersonal skills to complement the highly effective team.
- Is able to demonstrate your confidence by being able to nurture and engage with students in classroom activities.
- Can display strong control and remain calm in any situation that arises.
- Is an effective team player and willing to be fully involved in the life of the school.

Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities for young children.
- Support students with special educational needs, including those with autism, through tailored instruction.
- Provide one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to enhance children's learning experiences.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment through effective communication and collaboration with students and staff.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers to aid in curriculum development.
