Salary: £28,119 per annum (pro rata)
About the role
The British Library, in Partnership with Qatar National Library, has digitised over two million images of our collections relating to Qatar and the Gulf region. This Partnership brings to life rare and unique items, making them accessible for audiences worldwide on the Qatar Digital Library (QDL). Our Expert Articles section aims to highlight and contextualise the digitised collections, helping users to navigate, understand, and enjoy the digital archive.

We are looking for a Content Writer to join the Editorial Team to research and write articles. You will collaborate with curatorial colleagues to define suitable topics, conduct research using the archive and supporting secondary material, and write articles adhering to our house style guide.

This is an exciting opportunity to help tell stories from and around the archive, making our digital collections more engaging and accessible. If you have a passion for international history and experience in conducting research, as well as writing to style guides, word limits, and strict deadlines, then we would love to hear from you.
